PUBLIC CONSULTATION FOR MARKET REVIEW UNDER THE COMPETITION ACT 2010 FOR TRANSPORTATION SECTOR (PORT LOGISTICS ECOSYSTEM AND MOTOR VEHICLE WARRANTY)

Background of the public consultation

The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) is inviting the stakeholders and public to take part in public consultation for Market Review under the Competition Act 2010 for Transportation Sector (Port Logistics Ecosystem and Motor Vehicle Warranty).

The objective of this Market Review is to better understand the market structure, to assess market activities along the supply chain and to identify any competition concerns in Malaysian transportation sector, specifically on these two (2) sub-sectors, namely; port logistics ecosystem and motor vehicle warranty. Besides, the Market Review also aims to review any regulations and policy that may impedes competition in the sub-sectors studied.

Hence, this public consultation is organized to open for opportunities to collect views from the stakeholders and public prior conclusion of the market review.

The stakeholders and public can participate in the public consultation by submitting their written feedbacks over the draft final report of the study published at the MyCC website.

The public consultation will be held for 15 days from 18 June 2021 to 2 July 2021 and the feedbacks can be submitted by emailing to [email protected].

MyCC will also conducting a Public Consultation Webinar Session and everyone is welcome to participate and give their feedback as tentative below:
